KENTWOOD FLOORS TO FEATURE IN LG FASHION WEEK BEAUTY BY L’OREAL PARIS
The Fashion Design Council of Canada (FDCC) announced that Kentwood Floors has been named a contributing sponsor of LG Fashion Week Beauty by L’Oreal Paris, Canada’s foremost showcase of fashion and style. Kentwood’s involvement will put the Vancouver-based hardwood flooring manufacturer ‘front and centre’ as the company will be designing and creating the runways for the live fashion presentations that are the centerpiece of LG Fashion Week Beauty by L’Oreal Paris events.
“We think our products are all about making a fashion statement with your home, and style is a big part of our brand’s appeal.’ says Brady Page, Kentwood’s Vice-President of Sales & Marketing, “This is an opportunity to showcase Kentwood’s design philosophy in an environment that is internationally recognized for setting the standard of fashion and style.”

LG Fashion Week Beauty by L’Oreal Paris is a week-long extravaganza showcasing the finest in Canadian fashion. The bi-annual event is held in the spring and fall in Toronto and includes a full week of themed events, industry parties, product presentations and of course, live fashion shows by some of Canada’s foremost designers. Now in its 11th year, the Toronto edition has become the second largest Fashion Week event in North America. The event is organized by FDCC and spearheaded by Executive Director Robin Kay to support the Canadian fashion industry and turn a spotlight on Canadian designers.

Kentwood was approached by FDCC at the Interior Design Show in Toronto, where Kentwood was showing its wide range of designer wood floors in a stunning, award-winning display. FDCC representatives saw a natural fit between LG Fashion Week Beauty by L'Oreal Paris and Kentwood’s highly-stylised Couture Collection of wood floors. Kentwood jumped at the opportunity to get involved, especially when offered the chance to custom design flooring for the focal point of the week’s events: the runway.
“This is a great opportunity not just to promote our brand and our product line, but also to challenge our designers to create a style of flooring that is very special and innovative, something that expresses the spirit and philosophy of this exciting event.” And what might the runway flooring look like? “Like anything else you’d see on the runway, you’ll have to wait until the night,” says Page.
